Jennipher Oluoch (Kenya) – Successful summit on 21 July 2017

Jennipher Oluoch

Hi Adel,

We had an amazing experience and we completed a survey and provided our feedback to the team. You have a great team and they were really amazing and so very patient with us. When the going got tough, they stood by us and encouraged us to keep going.

I was hoping to loose some weight but I don’t think I did because of the great food they prepared. It was Five star treatment on the mountain.

Charity, Musa, Lawrence and the entire team are amazing. I miss them already.

A big thank you to you as well for answering all our emails timely  and providing us with all the critical information we needed. I have also provided feedback on your Facebook page (under the name Oh Jen) and I will definitely refer my family and friends to you if they ever decide to conquer Kilimanjaro.

Many thanks,

Jennipher

Leonardo Quezada (Australia) – Successful summit on the 10 June 2017

Hi Nikki,

We made it :-)

I wanted to personally thank the entire team that supported us during our amazing trip.

Firstly, thank you to you and the admin team for coordinating all of the trip details – from choosing the right route, to hotel transfers and  everything in between.  Everything that was discussed was provided as agreed.

As for the crew on the ground, John and his team exemplify client service and served as great ambassadors for Climbing Kilimanjaro as well as Tanzania itself.

Below are a few highlights from the trip that I would like to call out and hope you can pass on to the team in Moshi;

– Our lead guide – John – was very welcoming and together we referred to the whole crew as “family”, constantly sharing food etc as part of the team/family experience

– John’s customer focus was greatly appreciated. He constantly and consistently checked up on us after meals and treks to make sure we were ok.

– John certainly demonstrated his experience and focus on his climbing program based on our pace and perfected over 200 successful client summits

– The little things John did for us;

– Greeting us with song on long days as we entered our camp site

– Assisting us with our day packs on long days allowing us to walk the last hour or so into camp without one or in my dad’s case walk most of the trek without a day pack so he wouldn’t be burdened with the extra weight
– Clearly calling out daily activities so that there were never any surprises

–  Adjusting the meals to accommodate Dad’s changing dietary requirements

…and a special shout of thanks go to John, Uzwen and our cook – the 3 of which were key to my dad and I successfully reaching the summit.

I am more than happy to repeat my compliments on the Climbing Kilimanjaro website, Facebook and Trip Advisor if that will help.

We had a wonderful trip.

Kind regards,

Leo.

Congratulations to Alan Harte (Ireland) for successfully reaching Uhuru Peak on 2 March 2017

Hi Annalé,

I have to say we had a superb time on the mountain.
The team were superb. A special mention for Freddy, Michael, Jackson and Moosa (chef) they were absolutely brilliant….
The food was excellent and the organization was above reproach.
I tried on reflection to think of any constructive feedback and could think of none; the trip was that good.
Thanks again to the team for making this such a memorable and enjoyable trip.

Regards,

Alan Harte

Hi Nikki,

I really loved my experience. The whole trip was a blast, and I could not have been happier.

Hiking Kilimanjaro is truly special, and I felt the team of porters, guides, and cooks was outstanding. They were very organized, and I trusted all the information they were giving me.

I like that I was part of a small hiking group. That allowed me to hike with the group as well as take my time when I needed more space.

The trip to Arusha National Park was great, and I am glad that I added this to my package. It was a great way to spend a day and see more of the landscape in Tanzania.

All best,

Jessi

The trip was fantastic. Making it to the summit was certainly the highlight, but the journey to get there was made special by the great group of guides and porters.

David, Athumani and Aseem were spectacular. They definitely had our best interests in mind and encouraged us all the way to the top.

Guides – Very professional

Porters – Engaged with us, we felt like part of a bigger family

Food – very good

Equipment – Tents and sleeping bags more than adequate

Portable toilet – always clean

Singing – camp arrival songs each day were very memorable, I am still humming them today

Overall – would recommend to anyone

Hello Nikki

Sorry for the late reply as I was out of the country. My husband and I had a great time. It was the best adventure I have ever done in my life and will definitively recommend your company to my friends.

The staff was very friendly and every effort was made to accommodate us.

Many thanks once again for your professionalism in responding to me in a timely manner.

Best Regards,

Dear Nikki,

thanks for your message and for an awesome experience. Quirin and I truly enjoyed it – despite all challenges.

The team „Yes We Can“ was truly great and was a key success factor to our climb. I can recommend them fully.

Food was good, albeit not gourmet, but we also did not expect gourmet :-)

Thanks so much and all the best

Nik

Congratulations to Bhakti Mhaskar (India) for successfully reaching Uhuru Peak on 9 February 2017

Dear Annalé,

I had a greattttttttttttttttttttt time with the 9 boys who [climbed Mt. Kilimanjaro] with me, it was a great feeling to have 9 guys looking after me 😉

My trip to kili was extremely positive, I have nothing to complain, it was nice of you to insist on having my own portable toilet – that was the most important decision I …ever took 😀 Thank you, Annalé for everythinggggggggggggggggggggggggggggg…

I am also grateful to my guide, who from day one took it ‘Pole Pole’ and that definitely helped! We used to walk non-stop most of the days, with probably only 5 mins break and that definitely helped on the Summit Day.
Well I can keep going on and on about my experience coz my mind is still somewhere on the Kilimanjaro clouds – photo attached 😀
But with this writing let me end by saying that I had a great time and I am grateful for having chosen Climbing Kilimanjaro to make this ‘once in a lifetime journey’ so successful!

Thanks a ton and I hope to climb again with you soon :)

Best regards,

Bhakti Mhaskar

Kyla Yoon (South Korea) – Successful summit of Kilimanjaro on 31 January 2017

Kyla

I want to write an honest review on my Kilimanjaro trip with Climbing Kilimanjaro / John the amazing guide and his team.

I have planned to climb… Mt. Kilimanjaro for years, searched many websites to decide which agency I wanted to book my trip with, and Climbing Kilimanjaro website definitely had the most information I was looking for, which made me feel that they really know what they are doing and care for people who want to come. However, despite all those information I had so many more questions due to my ignorance for camping(I’ve never really camped or did the serious hiking before), I called them MANY times to ask small questions. All the operators were really nice, answered my probably unimportant questions which they must have come across to answering thousands of times to many other people before- with kindness and patience. So I decided to book my trip with them!

I was able to join another group because on the exact date I wanted to come, there were a group of 6 people who already planned to go with the exact same route I wanted to go. The website has all the information of who’s going(not all the personal information but nationality and how many people) and when, so if you’re a small group or alone wanting to join other people to make your trip a bit more socially exciting and financially cheaper, it’s very convenient to find information and decide.

The chief guide John – the amazing super human who never looked tired the whole time to the summit- took us to town and was there for us the whole time a day before the climbing, helped us for getting a local sim card, shopping etc, so we were all ready for the trip safely!

At this point I want to strongly confidently absolutely undoubtfully recommend this man, John, as your guide. John and his staffs were perfect, kind, and absolutely lovely. There are times you experience something and just know that is the best you can get, the team was exactly like that. Although I did not experience other teams, I didn’t have to, we all knew we were in the best hands.

John showed the amazing leadership organizing the trip, not only the physical side of it but he really did care for everyone’s well being in every way, He genuinely wanted us to be happy and enjoy the time, so he would do whatever that takes to make it happen. He won’t limit himself to help clients thinking what he’s <supposed to> provide, but he’s ready to serve and help you with anything you need- He was also very flexible so you could always discuss with Him for what you need. He was like my Kilimanjaro dad who was there for me the whole time! Also he speaks excellent English. If you’re reading this, you’re not going to regret- REQUEST JOHN AS YOUR GUIDE, He will make it possible that you will definitely make it to the summit. Our team, the 7 of us all agreed that he made it possible for all of us to make it to the summit. There were a few difficult moments where some of us were having a hard time climbing, but John knew exactly how to handle the situation so things were resolved immediately.

Also, for me personally I was following the doctor’s instruction for taking diamox and it caused me side effect so I felt nervous about it. Then I consulted with John and he gave me the advise of how I should take them, and it was alright when I followed his instruction. I say- experience is better than the theory.

And THE COOK in his team!!! I can’t miss praising his food- I never expected to have such delicious *HOT* meal every time I eat, on the mountain that was up 3000m and above. Thank you so much for feeding us with love and care. He was not only an excellent cook but was also a good singer/enternatiner! I miss his singing.

As a model, I wanted to leave this special moment with the appropriate fashion so I took off my summit jacket and summit pants and took this picture on top- (kids, please don’t try this at home) but I did have the right gear while climbing 😀 and John would check on all of us with what to wear everyday and that was very helpful.

If you’re someone who’s considering to climb Kili and have more questions to someone who’s been already, I’m happy to answer them so feel free to msg me. That’s how much I was satisfied with CK, John and his staffs!

Once again, thank you everyone for your amazing work! I would love to come again if I have a chance!
