Jason DePaul and Mark Janssen (USA) – Successful summit attempt on 14 February 2014
I wanted to send you this as soon as I got back – but got really caught up with work.
On behalf of Mark and myself, we wanted to thank you for putting together an outstanding trip; and something will both remember forever. The climb up Mt. Kilimanjaro was certainly a big challenge, especially coming from our area’s; which are at sea level. In the end though we both successfully reached the summit and accomplished our ultimate goal. All of this wouldn’t have been possible without the help our team and head guide Safiel. Five out of the six of us in our group reached the peak with the other making it to Gilman’s Point. I’ve attached a picture of us all on the summit – I’m on the far right sitting down and Mark is next to me in the sunglasses.
The safari was another success and all around amazing experience. Our guide Mike was a top class professional who took the time for us to explain the animals further in depth, answer all of our questions, and make sure we were able to get all the best photographs. The Wildebeest Migration was something to see to believe, and the hot air balloon ride over the Serengeti was surreal. We were very fortunate to see all the animals and experience perfect weather along the way. From top to bottom all of lodges were incredible and the services/food provided was excellent.
Tanzania is a beautiful country with extremely happy & helpful people. It’s a place I’ll surely recommend to everyone, and when I do; I’ll be sure to say to do so through ClimbingKilimanjaro.com.
Thak You Nikki
