The way to Mt Kilimanjaro from Nairobi and Dar es Salaam

More and more international airlines fly to Tanzania every year. The two major airports in Tanzania are Dar es Salaam International Airport, and Kilimanjaro International Airport (near Arusha and Moshi).

International Flights

We start all our climbs from Moshi or Arusha town, which is approximately 45 kms from Kilimanjaro International Airport. KLM flies in daily from Amsterdam.

From Kilimanjaro airport, KLM continues to Dar es Salaam. This means that you can arrange your arrival to be at Kilimanjaro International Airport, and departure from Dar es Salaam, or vice versa. This is a nice option if you'd like to include a visit to Zanzibar in your Tanzania holiday.

Kilimanjaro is much closer to Nairobi than it is from Dar es Salaam. Nairobi receives a lot more air traffic than Kilimanjaro Airport, making for more competitive prices.

Bus transfers

For a supplementary charge we can help you arrange private transportation or shuttle bus transfers to Moshi or Arusha from Nairobi, and vice versa.

Although the bus departs from Nairobi's Parkside Hotel, we arrange to fetch our clients from the hostels/hotels in city centre, at the airport, and we do not charge extra for this service. In Moshi, pick up or drop off can be arranged at any hostel or hotel in city centre.
