Nice to hear from you. Thank you so much for your support. It was a life changing experience of sorts climbing up the mountain.
The services were par excellence and definitely exceeded our expectations. The members of our team Harold, Omary and the porters took care of us like kin and never did we ever feel anything was missing or could have been better. We felt like one family more than being a team or crew.
Our porters were always kind and cheerful, and in many cases went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable.
We could not have asked for better guides than Harold and Omary. They carefully assessed our pace, fatigue, health conditions etc. from time to time and provided us the necessary guidance and support. We enjoyed our trek with them all the way to the summit!
Where to begin?
I want to thank you and your team for the most extraordinary experience of my life. My time on Mt. Kilimanjaro, the people I met, and the things that I saw I will most certainly remember forever.
From beginning to end, Climbing Kilimanjaro were nothing but professional, friendly, motivating and organised, and on the mountain I was so happy that I happened to stumble across the best team to join!
What a wonderful company you have- and one that I will have absolutely no hesitation to recommend to anyone in the future.
P.S Bouncer, Adam, Nelson, Lawrence and The Choir Master were standouts- going above and beyond for everything.
Thanks once again,
It was a lifetime adventure! Climbing Mount Kili was an amazing experience!
I did the Machame full moon route. The view of the summit is simply breathtaking. The guides/porters and the cook worked well together as a team. And the entire team was extremely helpful and made the trip possible and comfortable.
Not only mention my Safari adventure, it was one of the kind with a great, knowledgeable guide.
My climb and safari with Climbing Kilimanjaro was a journey of a lifetime.
Lola Onipko (Ukraine) – Walking to the Roof of Africa to raise funds for kids with Cerebral Palsy in the Ukraine
Twenty-five years ago, Lola Onipko’s sister was diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy, a condition that affects a part of brain that controls muscle movement, coordination and balance. Lola hopes to successfully reach Uhuru Peak, at 5,895 meters above sea level, in order to raise awareness about this neurological disorder, which is incurable, but can be improved through early rehabilitation.
“The first step is always a huge milestone in every child and parents’ lives – as a mum of a two-year-old I experienced this overwhelming feeling of joy and pride. But a lot of families might never be able to experience it, if we don’t raise awareness about Cerebral Palsy and help to provide early rehabilitation. My mission is to make rehabilitation accessible to every child in need. Each step that I take on the mountain will be dedicated to children who are yet to take their first step. We should have courage and compassion for children that are less fortunate. I also hope to encourage our societies to take rapid steps towards integrating children with disabilities and giving them equal chances for a brighter future,” shared Lola Onipko.
Lola, a volunteer and member of the International Women’s Association of Prague, will start her expedition to the summit of Mt. Kilimanjaro on 11 September 2016. She has set up the following donation page to raise funds for purchasing special therapy suits for a new rehabilitation center in Kiev, called “Step by Step”: https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/lola-kilimanjaro
I wanted to write to let you know how pleased we were with absolutely everything! The service your company provided was outstanding, the responsiveness to our questions in the organizing stage, the attention to detail in your itinerary, the comprehensive information you provided to assist us in preparing for the climb, and then ultimately the service provided during our visit exceeded our expectations.
Our climb was so memorable and such an incredible experience and that was largely due to John Matiko and his wonderful team. We were so impressed with John and his team and the care and service they provided, John not only ensured our successful summit attempt, he ensured all our questions were answered, and it was just a pleasure to get to know John and Emmanuel (assistant guide) and spend our days hiking with them.
Our safari was great, the driver very informative, the resorts were breathtaking.
We will make sure we tell everyone we know to consider booking with your organizations if they plan a visit to Tanzania and Kilimanjaro!
Our sincerest thanks.
I just wanted to let you know that I had a fantastic time and I made it to the summit! My guide David and his “Dream Team” of porters and cook were terrific! David is an excellent guide. He monitored my progress every step of the way and he is very knowledgeable. I learned so much from him about the mountain, the park, culture, flora, and fauna. The entire team was friendly, the food was great, and they sang and danced every time we made it to the next camp. (I also danced.) Upon David’s recommendation, we did a daytime summit. We arrived at School Hut around 2 pm on June 10 and started the summit at 7 am the next day. This worked extremely well for me; I had a good night’s rest and I didn’t have to worry about the cold of a nighttime summit. I got to the summit at 6:21 pm. Going down at night isn’t bad at all. I got to Kibo Hut around 8 pm, had a good night’s sleep, and then started the hike down to Horombo Hut. I am very thankful that David recommended a daytime summit; I may not have been able to summit at night, come down in the morning, and then do the hike to Horombo Hut. This was one of the greatest accomplishments of my lifetime.
Thank you for all your help in making this a wonderful experience. I will definitely recommend your company to anyone who expresses an interest in climbing Mt. Kilimanjaro.
It is nearly two weeks since we summited and I just wanted to say thank you for everything
It was a lifetime of a experience for all 3 of us and I know it wouldn’t have been possible without you and the team in Moshi.
Charity was brilliant and she made sure that we were all comfortable and happy with all the arrangements. She even arranged the cake to be sent up for my friend’s 30th and that made her day. Nelson and George were excellent guides too.
The 6 day Machame route was definitely tough and challenging but the support team did everything they could to keep our spirits up. I definitely was struggling by day 4 and had very little hope of summiting with altitude taking a toll on me. But we all did it and have come back with some amazing memories we will all cherish.
